Serena Williams, Without Playing, Continues To Lead The WTA World Ranking


The American Serena Williams, despite not playing after announcing her pregnancy, has been two consecutive weeks at the helm of the world ranking after displacing the German Angelique Kerber, who is still in second place.

Spain's Garbiñe Muguruza remains the best-placed Hispanic in the sixth position and Puerto Rico's Monica Puig, who won gold at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games last year, remains the top-ranked Latin American in step 42.
