Trump Calls One Of His Lawyers For 'International Negotiator'

The US President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday appointed the head of his legal council to the post of "special representative to the position of international negotiations", a new position in the future administration.

In a statement from the transition team, Donald Trump states that Jason Greenblatt, who has worked for two decades as a lawyer at his company "Trump Organization", will assist him in international negotiations and trade agreements.

"Jason is one of my closest advisors that I have the most confidence in. He has a substantial negotiator past, he has implemented complicated transactions on my behalf, and he has the expertise to reconcile parties and build consensus on difficult and sensitive issues,"  saidTrump.
Orthodox Jew, Greenblatt is a real estate attorney and has also advised the Republican candidate for the White House during his campaign on Israel-US relations.
On trade issues, Trump will be assisted by billionaire Wilbur Ross, 79, named Secretary of Commerce, and has yet to select his Foreign Trade Representative (USTR).
According to CNN, Greenblatt will focus on the Israel-Palestine conflict, US relations with Cuba and trade agreements with other countries.
